How do I force a user to reset their password?

If you are creating a new user or simply want to help someone who has forgotten their password, you can force an account to reset their password once they login.  Follow the steps below to get to the users page.

Start by selecting the three line menu button to bring up the full menu.

Once you have brought up the side menu, click on Administration. It should be the third option below Spot Check.

Once you have brought up the sub menu, select the Users option.

After opening the Users page, find and select the name of the person you wish to force the password reset for and select it. Users can be filtered by store, or via the search box.

With the selected user's profile open, enter a new temporary password. This password can be any length, and will only be used once to facilitate a password change.

Next, ensure that the "Require Password Reset" button is checked.

Finally, click the save button in the lower right corner.

After saving the changes, the user should log in to Date Check Pro using the temporary password. The program will automatically require that user to enter a new password, with a minimum of 8 characters, before they complete the login process.

If you prefer, you can enter a password directly into the Password/Confirm Password fields and hit save. This manual reset will set the password for the user.
