How do I create a new user?

In order to create a new user, you need to access the User controls on the Admin portion of the program.  You can do that by following the steps below.  

Start by selecting the three line menu button in the upper left hand corner.

With the left-hand menu open, select Administration.

Once you have brought up the sub menu, select the Users option.

Select the "Add User" button in the upper right of the page.

Begin by selecting the user's role. Please note: you can only assign user roles below the level of the active user. User permissions are as follows:

  • Date Checker: Full access to notifications. Access to user performance and scheduling reports. Limited to store selected.
  • Store Manager: Full access to notifications and all reports for selected store(s).
  • Company Supervisor: Access to all notifications and reports for the selected tier. Tiers are typically districts or regions within a chain. If you are interested in establishing tiers for your chain, please reach out to the Date Check Pro success team for assistance at [email protected].
  • Company Manager: Access to all notifications and all reports for the entire chain. Typically reserved for corporate stakeholders and corporate managers.

Next, enter the user's information.  First name, last name, username, and password are required fields.

Username should take the format of the employees ID number. If no ID number is available, we recommend first initial and last name.

Note:

Email address is optional, but recommended. We do not share email addresses with any third parties. Use of the email address is strictly to allow the user to export and receive reports, as well as reset their password independently.

Title is recommended for manager users to denote the user's role at the store or corporate level.

Next, enter the user's temporary password. This password will be used once to facilitate a password reset by the user.

Ensure the "Require Password Reset" box is checked. This will allow the new user to reset their password automatically.

Next, select which stores the user is responsible for. To avoid confusion, we strongly recommend assigning Store Manager and Date Checker users to one store only.

 

Additional Settings:

  • Scan Access: Should only be checked if users have contacted Date Check Pro to acquire scanning equipment.
  • Subscriptions: Date Check Pro offers a number of periodic reports to which users can subscribe and receive via email. Please note, and email address is required to receive these automated reports.

Finally, after reviewing all settings are accurate, select the Save button in the lower right hand corner. The new user should log in using the username and temporary password establish. Because the "Require Password Reset" box was checked, the user will automatically be prompted to reset their password during the login process.
